The ultimate goals of the Rose Allan Tucker YouAreYou Young Women’s Mentoring Program are twofold: Create an ongoing program that provides information and supports self-esteem in young women at a time in their lives when issues of drugs, sex, alcohol, self respect and peer pressure are testing them every day. Increase participation in the program each year by expanding it to additional schools within Luzerne County.
cds creative developed the logo, positioning statement, graphic elements and website for the YouAreYou Program. Additionally, we are the event manager for an annual day of self-exploration, workshops and speakers held for 10th grade girls. This includes site selection, speaker arrangements, working with the school districts, budget and fundraising, volunteer coordination and event materials.
This program has been attended by over 400 girls to date (May 2009) and includes a mentorship component matching girls to successful women in the community. cds creative manages the media relations and development of community partnerships for the program.
